It's a Knockout Sporting Challenge

To support Children in Need, Birkenhead Sixth Form College students working towards their Community Sports Leadership Award led other students and staff in an ‘It’s a Knockout’ style sporting challenge. 

Basketball and Rowing challenges as well as Speed Bounce and Crazy Catch activities were just some of the alternative sporting activities to test skills and promote fun, sporting engagement and a healthy lifestyle. For those who excelled prizes will be awarded and for all the knowledge that they’ve raised funds for a great cause.

Ian stated that “The event was a huge success with large numbers of students getting involved and becoming competitive, it was good to see so many students from across the college who do not normally participate in college sport enjoying themselves and having fun”.

In total £159.40 was raised that will improve the lives of many people less fortunate than ourselves. Congratulations to all students and staff for taking part.
