A2 Drama & Theatre Studies students took to the stage at The Sixth Form College last week to perform this year’s Christmas production of Teechers, by John Godber.
The play followed three school leavers, Salty (played by Steven Swaby); Hobby (played by Emma Whitty); and Gail (played by Kaylee Meredith), looking back over their final year at secondary school, remembering the different characters they encountered and realising how their Drama Teacher, Mr Nixon, (played by Liam Faulkner) had inspired them.
Students delivered excellent performances which had the audience smiling and laughing throughout, with audience members commenting: “it was amazing, it was fun for all the family to watch” and “it was so funny, i really enjoyed it.”
Head of Drama & Theatre Studies, Liz Bones was also pleased with their performance stating: “I was very proud of the students and appreciated their dedication and enthusiasm throughout the rehearsal process. They are a talented group and I really enjoyed working with them.”
Well done to the entire cast for your wonderful performances – it was truly a great show!
