Media teacher, Lauren, takes us through the day's activities at Liverpool John Moores University:

Year 2 Media students visited Liverpool John Moores University recently and attended a lecture and workshop on the impact of Artificial Intelligence on contemporary society, led by Senior Lecturer and Academic, Peter Atherton.

The students had a go at using the podcasting software 'Anchor' (on their phones) in recording 60 seconds of audio on their views of new emerging technologies in media communication today, and each one of the students contributed and even agreed to have their recordings broadcast to the group.

Following the workshop, the students were taken on a tour of the teaching and learning facilities in the LJMU Redmonds Building, the Student Union and Student Life Building where they received information packs and goodie bags of LJMU study equipment. Some of the students walked over to the John Foster Building after the tour to attend an taster session for a degree course in Media, Culture and Communication.

It was a great day all in all and the sessions were both useful and insightful for those wanting to pursue a higher education course in Media and Communication.
