Image of Birkenhead Sixth Form College Hosts Successful Law Fair to Inspire Future Legal Professionals

Students studying Law at Birkenhead Sixth Form College had the opportunity to explore career pathways in the legal sector at our annual Law Fair. The event brought together representatives from leading universities offering law degrees, prestigious law firms, and future employers such as solicitors, providing students with invaluable insights into the diverse opportunities within the legal profession.

Students had the chance to engage directly with legal professionals, gaining first-hand knowledge about routes into the industry. Organisations who participated in the event included, Slater & Gordon, Weightmans, Aaron & Partners, Wirral Borough Council, Wigan Council, and MSB Solicitors.

Students found the fair particularly useful, with many taking the opportunity to ask questions about applications, work experience, and what employers look for in future legal professionals. Furthermore, students also received a first-hand experience of the importance of work experience and networking in such a competitive field.

Additionally, universities such as The University of Law, Manchester Metropolitan University, Liverpool John Moores University, University of Chester, and Edge Hill University, were present to discuss their courses in Law, entry requirements, and the benefits of pursuing higher education in Law.

With law being a competitive field and the legal sector constantly evolving, the event provided a valuable platform for students to network and explore options, ensuring they are well-equipped for their next steps, whether that be university, apprenticeships, or direct employment in the legal sector.
