Image of Halloween Fest 24: A Spooktacular Success

Yesterday, the College was buzzing with excitement as students and staff came together for our Halloween Fest. The entire campus was transformed with eerie decorations, creating the perfect backdrop for a day full of thrilling activities, laughter, and unforgettable moments. It’s no surprise that this event is one of the year’s highlights for both students and staff alike!

Here’s a sneak peek into the spine-chilling fun:

Teddy’s Trick or Treat Trial: Students set off on a College-wide hunt to find Teddy hidden in 10 secret locations. Did you manage to spot Teddy hidden in the posters?

Costume Contest: The halls were packed with amazing costumes, from terrifying to downright hilarious (yes, there was an inflatable dinosaur!). A huge shoutout to Year 2 student Connor, who took home the win with a terrifying monster costume! Year 1 student Alex, as Robin, was a close runner-up.

Halloween Cake Sale: Sweet treats were in high demand, with Halloween-themed cakes flying off the table. The best part? We raised an incredible £200.15 for Maggie’s charity – a big thank you to everyone who contributed!

Glow in the Dark Sports: A fan favourite, students lit up the Drama Studio with badminton and table tennis.

Spooky Kahoot Quiz: Lunchtime got competitive with a Halloween-themed Kahoot quiz. Congratulations to Year 2 student Madeleine for showing off her Halloween knowledge!

Spooky Menu: 8SQ pulled out all the stops with a devilishly delicious menu, featuring Monster Burgers and Mummy Fingers – a perfect feast to fuel the day's fun!

Scary Movie Screening: The thrills continued after College, as students gathered to watch the horror classic Insidious!

Haunted Escape Room: For those seeking a challenge, the haunted-themed escape room had students working together to solve creepy clues and escape!

Halloween Fest was a fantastic celebration of spooky fun. Thanks to everyone who made it such a memorable day – we can’t wait to see what next year brings!
