Birkenhead Sixth Form College’s team of Student Ambassadors have been named for the next academic year.
Beating stiff competition for the positions, the shortlist came down to 40 students who will be representing the College at events throughout the year, including Freshers’ Day in July for our new students, Open Evenings and welcoming our many visitors and guests.
Ambassadors also play a key role in helping our new students settle into the College during ‘Find Your Feet’: a programme that takes place over the first month of the new academic year in September that offers fun activities, clubs and societies taster sessions and other ice-breaking enjoyment to make it easy for new first years to make friends and get used to College life.
The lucky new Ambassadors were chosen by our Student Development Team as they showed passion and commitment in their studies and extracurricular involvement, but they also embody the College’s core values of Positivity, Ambition, Resilience and Thoughtfulness. These are key traits when it comes to helping those around them, whether that’s new or returning students, staff or visitors to the College.
Ambassadors will be given the all-important, coveted purple lanyards too, so they can be an obvious first port of call for fellow students and staff alike.
