The UCAS Merseyside Higher Education convention is taking place at Liverpool University (9th -10th June) offering students looking at University options for next year a vast amount of Higher Education information.

Sixth Form College students attended the convention to research their choice of courses and Universities. The convention offers students the opportunity to speak with representatives from a wide range of Universities with over 120 different Higher Education establishments having a presence including Russell Group Universities such as the University of Cambridge, University of Manchester and University of Leeds.

The convention also hosts a series of subject specific talks from University representatives covering courses such as Engineering, Dentistry, Architecture, Medicine, Law, Psychology and Nursing & Midwifery. There is also information available on applying for student finance.

The Sixth Form College’s Personal & Guidance tutor team also attended the convention to ensure they can offer students at the college the most up-to-date Higher Education information available.

Personal & Guidance Tutor Leigh O’Mahony commented, “The UCAS convention is a great start for our AS students in their journey to Higher Education. The convention offers a great insight into different courses available at university and is also a superb opportunity for our students to discuss their plans with institutions from across the country”
