Drama & Theatre Studies Students at The Sixth Form College devised, directed and performed this year’s Christmas production – The Man from Leeds on Wednesday 10th December for their friends and family.
The evening consisted of three elements:
The Man from Leeds formed the first part of the evening - a piece devised and directed by A2 student, James Dawson who also studies History and ICT alongside Drama & Theatre Studies. The production was based around three well-known fairy tales and performed brilliantly by fellow A2 students Abbi Gillan, Clark Morton and Callum Ruddy.
This was followed by a performance of an extract from Woman in Mind by AS Drama & Theatre Studies students Edward Downey and Rachel Campbell- Large.
The evening concluded with a musical finale performed by Callum Ruddy.
Drama & Theatre Studies teacher, Liz Bones, was pleased with their performance stating:
“I’m really impressed with the work achieved by the students leading up to the performance – James did a marvellous job directing his cast members and the performances throughout the evening were fantastic. The audience had an extremely enjoyable evening – well done to all.”
