Image of Business Studies Trip: Alton Towers

Our business studies students attended their annual trip to Alton Towers at the beginning of the month. The trip was not only an enjoyable day out for the students but also provided a valuable insight into how the Alton Towers brand works and how they maximise every business potential.

A total of 66 students attended the trip from AS level and Level 3 BTEC. Each group attended a talk on the day involving the Alton Towers brand’s marketing activities and also their general business activities.

Kerry Fairclough - Head of Business Studies at The Sixth Form College said: “This is a fun and engaging way for students to add value to their coursework and provides a good opportunity for the students to identify with how a variety of business concepts are carried out in practise.  Commitment and enjoyment for the subject grows, as new students make new friends during their Alton Towers experience.”
