Film students watch hit Sky Atlantic series being filmed

Film Studies teacher, Bert Byron, explains talks through the trip:

 

Film Studies students were invited onto the set of Tin Star, a Sky Atlantic TV series, being filmed in New Brighton this week. The series stars Tim Roth, Ian Hart and a whole host of actors from Merseyside.  Ian, who plays the main antagonist in Season 3 of the show, and also starred as Professor Quirrell in the Harry Potter series, welcomed the lucky students onto the set where they were able to see some scenes being shot, and have a chat with Ian and production manager Angus Lamont about job roles and prospects in the broadcast and film industries. Ian has won many prestigious awards, including the Evening Standard British Film Award and the Tribeca and Venice Film Festival awards for best actor, and he was most supportive, welcoming and encouraging to our students.
