Halloween Fest is an annual celebration at the College which brings students and staff together to have some fun on the spookiest day of the year.
With the College hallways decked out with creepy decorations and activities going on all day, it makes for an enjoyable occasion to get involved or merely appreciate everyone else’s efforts.
The competition for the best dressed student always yields some outstanding results, with costumes ranging from the sublime to the ridiculous, frightening to funny. This year’s winner was Reece in his magnificent The Mask outfit, and he walked away with a £25 Amazon gift voucher, while there were plenty of other honourable mentions, which can be seen in the collection on photographs from the day.
The canteen staff in 8SQ pulled out all the stops, both in terms of decoration and stunning food, which despite some ghastly names for the day such as dead man’s fingers and crispy toe nails, was delicious.
Cake sales, scary movie showings and glow-in-the-dark sports also contributed to a great day, and the students’ efforts of organising the participating in the event makes the entire occasion a fantastic time of the year.
Look out for Christmas Fest 2023 coming in December…
