AstraZeneca the latest College T Level partner

Birkenhead Sixth Form College continued to line up the highest level work placements as part of the new Science T Level qualification by working alongside science industry pioneer AstraZeneca.

AstraZeneca are a global pharmaceutical and biotechnology company headquartered in the UK, and join a list of science industry giants that are offering work placement to College students sitting the new T Level qualification.

The Science T Level course begins in September 2022 at the College, and is aimed at students who have a set career path in science in mind, with a specialism in laboratory science. The qualification involves 80% classroom learning within College alongside 20% work placement across two years in a science environment most suited to the individual student.

Work placements availabilities on the course include Wirral University Teaching Hospital opportunities at Arrowe Park, places at BioGrad, Innospec, Pharmaron, Liverpool Clinical Laboratories, the University of Liverpool, Liverpool John Moores University and more.

Studying at Birkenhead Sixth Form College also means that T Level students benefit from the expert pastoral and careers support from the Student Development Team and the chance to get involved in the full range of clubs, activities and societies that every student has available to them across A Level and BTEC Level 3 courses.
