Image of Professional photographer gives Media students industry insight and advice

Head of Media and Film Studies, Julie Edwards, explains what went on with this week's visiting speaker:

Commercial Photographer, Deana Kay, visited Media students during their lesson this week to give careers and industry advice as part of the College's exciting and varied curriculum.

Deana explained her busy freelance work in the industry, including projects for clients in healthcare, the corporate sector and private events. She gave careers advice to students about every aspect of the job - from managing technical aspects whilst on location to responding to the requirements of a client brief.

Media students also looked at her extensive portfolio, including work produced for a variety of forms: editorial work for magazines publications; advertising and marketing for global campaigns and local images promoting Liverpool and culture.
